What is the Power List?

The Power List is an annual benchmarking exercise that celebrates all corners of ophthalmology by highlighting the work and impact of the most influential people in ophthalmology.  

Each year, The Ophthalmologist team receives hundreds of nominations from across the globe. We catalogue and filter this very long list of nominations and pass to an esteemed and diverse judging panel. 

After much debate and discussion, our annual Power List is confirmed and published each April without fear or favor.  

Is the Power List definitive? As ever, no! But we hope you find the people found within to be not only inspirational but also reflective of the brilliance found in so many corners of this wonderful field.
